Who we are
Kahama Farms LLC conducts farming activities on a 5-acre parcel in Kauai. We wanted to honor the agricultural nature of this property and purposely planted fruit, coconut, and other palm trees several years ago with the goal to harvest and sell the fruit and propagate and grow palm trees.
Our vision
We had a vision to create an agri business with a two-fold purpose. Although we started selling fruit from the mature fruit trees and coconuts from the mature coconut trees in 2023, the primary focus of our agri business is operating as a wholesale nursery selling rare palm trees and other trees and shrubs on a wholesale basis to local nurseries.
We built an ag building dedicated to farming activities and also built a propagation station, where we currently propagate over seven hundred (700) trees and plants. We propagate all of our trees and plants from cuttings and seeds from our existing field stock.
Our Nursery
Carpoxylon Palm
Dubbed the “holy grail of palm trees.” It is "critically endangered”, making these extremely rare to find but easy to grow and maintain on Kauai.
Century Plant
Its spiked foliage makes a bold architectural statement with its sculptural form.
Foxtail Palm
Although they are difficult to propagate, they are worth the effort, as they have become one of the most popular palms in the world.
Blue and Red Latan Palm
With fan-shaped leaves and unique coloration, the Latan Palm is currently endangered.
Dwarf Samoan Coconut Palm
These trees are highly desirable for their fruit and for the ability to readily harvest the fruit.
Manila Palm
Known for its smooth, ringed trunk, these palms are also called “Christmas Palms” due to their red fruit.
